Recipe for Barley Powder Treat

1/2 c butter tea, preferably made with yak butter
1.5 oz crumbled cheese, preferably fresh yak cheese that has not been smoked
2 heaping soup spoons barley powder
1 T coarse sugar
 
Roast barley and grind into a very fine flour.
Prepare butter tea:  Add pu-er tea, butter and hot water to a churn and beat until combined.  Pour into large wasp-waist tea kettle.  Keep hot on the back of a  woodstove.
 
Pour tea into a rice bowl.  
Add other ingredients in order.
Stir and knead until it sticks together.
Form into balls or logs and  eat with more butter tea.
 
Taught us by a Tibetan woman whose house we visited.
