City of Lights

My huge impression of Shanghai: City of Lights, City of Architecture. One amazing building on top of another. Innovative architecture everywhere. Our guide even uses the word “architecture” for “building.”

At night many of these architectures become light scupltures or reflections of each other’s lighting design.

What we call the Yangtze River (and is really called Chang Jiang – the Long River) terminates here in Shanghai and we took a boat tour on the part of the Long River which is the Huangpu.

And the best pedestrian shopping street ever: Nanjing Road

(I guess I only took a picture of it at night.)
